Why Give?

Financial giving is a vital part of our church community, enabling us to fulfil our ministry and mission both in Lisburn and through our denomination and partner organisations around the world. Through your generosity, we are able to support outreach programmes, maintain our facilities, assist those in need, and invest in future generations. Every contribution, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in sustaining the life and work of our church. Details are summarised in the “Grace of Giving” document produced by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Which Funds?

We have three main funds to which you can give. These are:

1. Free Will Offering (FWO) / The No.1 Account

This is our main operating account where we collect regular offerings, money for mission appeals (such as the Presbyterian Church in Ireland annual World Development Appeal) and giving for other “one off” projects. We pay our operating expenses from this account.

2. United Appeal

This is the regular fund for mission at home and overseas through the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Every year our congregation, in common with every other Presbyterian congregation across Ireland, is set a “Target of Honour” for our giving to this mission fund. All money given to United Appeal is used for the United Appeal. You can find out more about the United Appeal from the PCI website by clicking here.

3. Property Account

This is the account that we use to collect offerings for the maintenance and development of our church property and pay associated costs. This is also the account that we use to make the monthly repayments of capital and interest for the loan we took out to complete the Link Project.

Ways To Give

  • Standing Order: Set up a regular gift directly from your bank account. Copies of standing order mandates for the No:1 Account, United Appeal and Property Account are available in this section of our website.

  • Freewill Offering Envelope: Annual packs for weekly / monthly giving are available - please speak to the Session Clerk, Treasurer or Gift Aid Secretary and they will arrange to have a pack delivered to you.

  • Internet banking transfer: details of our bank accounts are provided on the Standing Order mandates in this section of our website. Please use these to make a “one off” transfer or set up a regular transfer through your internet banking.

  • One-off financial gift: Please place you gift in the offering plate on a Sunday (in an envelope showing which fund you wish your gift to go to) or give to our Minister, Deaconess, Session Clerk, Treasurer or another member of Kirk Session.

  • Gift Aid: If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase your donation at no extra cost by printing off and completing a Gift Aid declaration and returning it to our Session Clerk, Treasurer or Gift Aid Secretary.

Transparency and Accountability

We are committed to transparency in all our financial dealings. A copy of the Annual financial report is provided to every family claiming connection with our church. This outlines how funds are allocated and the impact of your support.

Our annual Financial Accounts, Independent Examiner Certificate and Charity Trustee report are uploaded to the NI Charity Commission website and so are publicly available for anyone who wishes to review them.

If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact our Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, or a member of our Finance Sub Committee.

Thank You

Thank you for your ongoing generosity in supporting the work and witness of our church family. Your support makes a real difference and is very much appreciated.
