This evening we are delighted to be holding Steven Woods' service of licensing as a probationer for the Christian ministry. This means that Steven has completed his three years of study at Union Theological College and will now take up the position of full time assistant minister in Dundonald Presbyterian Church. He will then be eligible for a call to his congregation in September 2025.
As Steven's home church, we are delighted to be hosting this service and to welcome back Steven, Rachel, Judah and Jesse. We also welcome their wider family and friends on this significant occasion in Steven's pathway to ordained ministry.
The service this evening will be conducted by a Commission of the Presbytery of Dromore and the preacher will be Rev Andrew Thompson, minister of Elwood Presbyterian, Lisburn and a former assistant in Railway Street.
